Sunrise in January. I could have had a nice view of downtown if I hadn't been lazy and taken it from the office window where the buildings are hiding behind the tree.
I took this on July 4th 2000 in Santa Barbara with my then brand new Nikon D1. For years Apple used it as one of their iCards, which was sort of fun (maybe they still do, I am not sure).
We meet up with Sean, Thu and their kids once in a while for lunch at Palms Thai. Last Saturday Tim Bunce was passing through on his way to LAX so he joined us.
We had a left-over mango in the fridge. Curious dog to the rescue! She didn't like it as much as she likes carrots and broccoli though. Picky dog! ;-) Her typical diet is raw meat (usually chicken), rice and vegetables.
Our flight was so long that we had to land in Taipei on the way to refuel. Or maybe just to drop off passengers? 747 meets local bus routes.

Brief layover in Taipei. I got a PlayStation Portable while we were waiting. Good for long flights and car rides (unless you are driving, of course). Vani got power for her MacBook. Notice the "Escape Chute" to be used if we wanted to get down to the tarmac in a hurry.
